Chili

CHILI

  • 1 lb. (.6 kg.) Ground beef (or chicken or turkey)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • Large can of diced tomatoes, drained
  • Large can of red kidney beans
  • 2 small cans of tomato paste
  • Chili seasoning to taste

Brown the ground meat in a frying pan, add the diced onion just before the meat is completely done, cook until onion is soft, about 5 minutes.

In a large separate pot mix the diced tomatoes, beans, tomato paste and seasoning. Add the browned meat and simmer the pot for about 45 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
