Meat Loaf

What you need

  • 1½ lbs. lean ground meat (beef and pork combination is good)
  • ½ cup tomato ketchup
  • ⅓ cup tomato juice
  • ½ tsp. each salt and black pepper
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onions

Directions

In a large bowl combine ketchup, tomato juice, salt, pepper, eggs, bread crumbs and onion. Add ground beef and mix gently but thoroughly.

Press the beef mixture into a 9" X 5" loaf pan and bake at 400̊ for about 45 minutes. Drain off the fat and let meat loaf sit for 10 minutes before serving.
