Cora's Famous Fudge
This recipe is from Cora’s Restaurant and is verrry good! It is quite sweet and tastes exactly like the icing Grandma Totten used to put on her spice layer cake. A little goes a long way.
- 3½ cups brown sugar
- ⅔ cup butter
- ⅔ cup coffee cream (18%)
- 1¼ cups icing sugar
Butter a 6" X 10" pan.
In a medium saucepan, mix brown sugar, cream and butter and bring to a boil. Let the mixture boil gently for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove fudge from heat and stir in icing sugar with a whip or use an electric mixer until it is creamy. Pour into the buttered pan.
Chill until firm then cut into squares. Keep refrigerated.
