Apple Crisp

  • 5 cups sliced and peeled Ida Red apples (about 8)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (not packed)
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ cup quick-cooking rolled oats (maybe a bit more)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ cup firm, cold butter or margarine

Arrange apples in a square baking dish.

Combine brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Press mixture over apples. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until top is browned.
